The NCOFF Fantasy Football League Rules
League Set up & Draft
- The National Championship of Fantasy Football (The NCOFF) will consist of up to 25 leagues, each composed of 12 teams/managers.
- Each league must have 12 registered owners. If a league does not have 12 registered players the draft will be pushed back 1 week with the same day and time. All registered owners can remain registered for the pushed back draft or may e-mail The NCOFF for a Full Refund.
- Individuals are permitted to purchase more than one team as long as all teams are in separate leagues. Owners are only allowed one team per league. Any owner with more than one team in the same league will be disqualified without a refund.
- Teams will be disqualified without a refund for breaking any rules to gain an unfair advantage.
- Each draft will last for 20 rounds with each team selecting a player in each round in a serpentine fashion (team 1 through team 12, team 12 through team 1, team 1 through team 12, etc.). Each team will have 2 minutes to make a selection.
- There are no rules governing the number of players to be drafted at each position. It is up to the skill and draft strategy of each team owner to decide.
- We reserve the right to disqualify any team without a refund that acted in a collusionary manner. Leagues will be revoked if it is found that multiple teams within the same league acted in a collusionary manner. Refunds will be issued to all teams of a revoked league excluding the teams that acted in a collusionary manner. One example of collusion that will not be tolerated would be if multiple teams purposely drafted players much higher than their average draft position to allow other teams in the same league to build better rosters. This would provide other teams in the same league an unfair advantage versus other leagues.
- We reserve the right to alter or make changes to any released free agent players, if we feel there is a possibility of collusion or if it is needed to preserve the competitive nature of the event.
- No trading allowed.
- Free Agents will be awarded through auction.
- Blind Bidding will be from kickoff of the first game of the week through Wednesday at 10:00 pm EST.
- First come, first served starts on Wednesday at 10:01 pm EST immediately after Blind Bidding above is processed.
- Waivers end on week 17 kickoff.
- The NCOFF regular season will extend from NFL Week 1 through NFL Week 12.
- All teams will play all other teams head to head for 1st 11 weeks. Week 12 will be each Leagues Championship.
- After 12 weeks, the team that wins the League Championship game will be crowned League Champion.
- All League Champions will earn a cash prize (based on total number of leagues) plus qualify for the playoffs and a shot at the Grand Prize of $10,000*.
Starting Line-Up
The starting line-up will consist of:
- 1 quarterback
- 2 running backs
- 3 wide receivers
- 1 tight end
- 1 offensive flex player (RB, WR, or TE)
- 1 placekicker
- 1 defense / special teams
Playoffs
- Playoffs Start NFL Week 13 and conclude at the end of NFL Week 15.
- No playoff teams are eliminated.
- The NCOFF Champion & Top 4 will be determined by adding each playoff teams Week 1 - 12 Average + Week 13 score + Week 14 score + Week 15 score. The highest total score will be crowned The NCOFF Champion.
Scoring
Any individual offensive player on any active starting roster will be credited points for scoring in the following manner, unless otherwise noted:
a. Passing:
b. Rushing:
c. Receiving:
d. All Other TD's:
e. Placekicking:
f. Team Scoring (Defense/Special Teams):
* *All prize money will be determined based on total number of leagues (above illustrations based on 25 leagues). All prizes will be pro-rated based on total paid leagues (number of paid leagues divided by 25) if there are less than 25 paid leagues.
** TDs scored on “fake” field goals or “fake” punts do NOT count as Defense/Special Teams scoring. TDs scored by the offensive team after a blocked FG or blocked punt do NOT count as a Defense/Special teams score. TDs scored on a double-turnover only count for the individual player who scored the TD, not for the team.
*** A double turnover is considered points for the recovering team's defense and special team. Thus, an example, team ABC's offense fumbles and team XYZ's defense recovers, but then fumbles the ball back to team ABC's offense. In that scenario team ABC's defense and special teams (along with team XYZ's defense and ST) are both awarded a fumble recovery.
**** Any and all points scored against a team are considered points scored against the special teams and defense. Thus, as an example, a turnover by the offense that is returned for a TD is considered as points scored against the special teams and defense.
a. Passing:
- Yards passing divided by 20 (e.g. 267 passing yards = 13.35 fantasy points).
- 6 points for every passing TD
- Minus two points (-2) for every interception thrown
- 2 points for every 2-point conversion
b. Rushing:
- Yards rushing divided by 10 (e.g. 63 rushing yards = 6.30 fantasy points).
- 6 points for every rushing TD
- 2 points for every 2-point conversion
c. Receiving:
- Yards receiving divided by 10 (e.g. 92 receiving yards = 9.20 fantasy points)
- 6 points for every receiving TD
- 1 point for every catch
- 2 points for every 2-point conversion
d. All Other TD's:
- 6 points for any TD scored by recovered or returned fumbles, laterals, or any other means by which a skill position player (QB, RB, WR, TE, or PK) is awarded an individual TD, except kickoff and punt returns. No rushing or receiving yardage is awarded for a TD returned on a fumble.
e. Placekicking:
- 1 point for every Extra Point (PAT's)
- 3 points for every FG
f. Team Scoring (Defense/Special Teams):
- 1 point for every sack
- 2 points for every forced turnover (interception or fumble recovery)***
- 6 points for every TD (via interception return, fumble return, punt or kickoff return, blocked FG return, missed FG return, blocked punt return)**
- 5 points for every safety
- 10 points for every shutout ****
- 7 points for allowing between 1- 5 points ****
- 4 points for allowing between 6 – 9 points ****
- 1 point for allowing between 10 - 13 points****
* *All prize money will be determined based on total number of leagues (above illustrations based on 25 leagues). All prizes will be pro-rated based on total paid leagues (number of paid leagues divided by 25) if there are less than 25 paid leagues.
** TDs scored on “fake” field goals or “fake” punts do NOT count as Defense/Special Teams scoring. TDs scored by the offensive team after a blocked FG or blocked punt do NOT count as a Defense/Special teams score. Official Rules of The NCOFF
The National Championship of Fantasy Football (“The NCOFF”) is a fantasy football game of skill that offers guaranteed cash awards to its top entrants. This contest will test a participant's ability to predict player performance both over time and on a weekly basis, as well as to value certain players and positions within the framework of our scoring system, place appropriate bids on free agents based on the relative future value to the entrant's team, and create a balanced fantasy team that will maximize scoring output over the length of the season. The NCOFF award winners are determined based on the criteria listed in the Rules below.
OVERVIEW:
The National Championship of Fantasy Football (“The NCOFF”) offers an on-line draft format. The draft is conducted by www.MockDraftCentral.com in their "live draft" room. Participants must familiarize themselves with the draft room by checking in a few days before the draft. Teams will be able to sign in to their draft 30 minutes prior to the draft start time. It is strongly recommended that each team sign in at this time. The draft will be conducted in a serpentine method 1-12 in round one, 12-1 in round 2, 1-12 in round 3, etc, until 20 rounds have been completed. This will result in a 20 player roster. There is no requirement for any team to draft a specific number of players at any specific position; however, there are lineup submission requirements. It is the participant’s responsibility to draft the appropriate players in order to fill the necessary positions for the lineup submission requirements. Most drafts last approximately 3 hours, however, participants should allow for 4 hours or more.
Online Draft Attendance:
Draft attendance is mandatory. Participants must login to their league and sign into the online draft no later than five minutes prior to the draft start time. In the event that the participant (or co-manager) does not sign in to the online draft, the team will be placed on auto-pick. If a participant signs into the online draft after the draft has started, he will be able to select his next player; however, if any previous selections have been made, they would still apply. Check your connections in advance of the draft. If you cannot gain access to the draft, you will need to arrange another method to access the draft. The NCOFF is not responsible for connection issues, and will not issue a refund.
Online Co-Management during the Draft:
The primary participant is responsible for his draft. If the primary participant chooses to allow his co-managers to be logged in during the draft, they will both have equal ability to select players. This means that if a co-manager selects a player before the principal participant, his/her selection is the one taken.
Online Time Limit:
Each player will receive two minutes (2:00) to make a selection. Participants should try to make a selection as soon as they are on the clock, as All Star Services & Technologies cannot be held responsible for a sudden loss of internet service. If the team manager does not make a selection within the allotted 120 second time frame, this team will be assigned a player according to the MockDraftCentral.com's auto-pick computer. This selection will not be changed. The MockDraftCentral.com software will then place this team's draft on a 30 second timer. The owner may unselect this feature with a simple click of the mouse and continue drafting in the normal manner with a 120 second clock. The NCOFF has discretion to rule on any discrepancy involving player selection. All rulings by The NCOFF are final.
The Team Roster:
Each team’s roster is limited to 20 players. IT IS THE PARTICIPANT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY THAT HIS/HER TEAM ROSTER IS CORRECT BEFORE LEAVING THE DRAFT, AND AFTER IT IS UPLOADED TO THE LEAGUE MANAGEMENT WEBSITE. It is the participant’s responsibility to report any errors to The NCOFF or MyFantasyLeague.com within 24 hours of the roster being uploaded to the league management website. Online Week 1 Lineups: The NCOFF suggests that each team set their Week 1 lineup as soon as lineup submission is available. However, teams will be allowed to modify their Week 1 lineup based on normal lineup submission (See below – Lineup Submission).
Legal:
In the event that the Online leagues cannot complete their drafts for any reason on the scheduled night of the draft, these drafts will be completed or redrafted exactly one week later (same day & time). Participants represent and warrant that they will be able to participate in a "make-up" draft, if necessary, exactly one week after original schedule draft, and that they will not for any reason hold All Star Services & Technologies liable if All Star Services & Technologies determines that a redraft, either in full or part, is needed. Online participants understand that if All Star Services & Technologies determines that a redraft exactly one week later (same day & time) is appropriate, failure to participate in the draft may lead to disqualification without any rights to a refund of the entry fee. If MyFantasyLeague.com is not able to hold the "make-up" drafts, another host website will carry the drafts.

Each team is responsible to check for errors to their roster, both during the draft and once their team is inputted into the league management web site. Errors must be reported to The NCOFF immediately. The deadline for any error correction is Thursday, September 16th, 2010. Team managers may access their teams at www.MyFantasyLeague.com, which is the official FFPC league management web site.

- 7 points for allowing between 1- 5 points ****

- 1 point for allowing between 10 - 13 points****
*All prize money will be determined based on total number of leagues (above illustrations based on 25 leagues).
The NCOFF Free Agency Acquisitions and Blind Bidding:
The following free agent blind bidding process is the only means by which free agents may be acquired in The NCOFF. Any active NFL player which is not on a roster in the individual The NCOFF league is considered a free agent for that league and may be available for pick-up. Players dropped by a team are placed into the free agent player pool and will be available for pick-up (see below for exclusions).
The free agent acquisition process is made by way of "blind bidding". Each team is given 1,000 free agent "dollars" at the start of a season (not real money), which they may use to bid on free agents during a weekly blind bidding process. Bids will remain hidden from the rest of the league until after all the winning bids have been awarded. Free agent players will be awarded to the team with the highest bid for that free agent and the winning bid amount will be deducted from that team's free agent dollars. Besides the winning bid, all other bids for that free agent are considered losing bids and are cancelled. At this point, the highest remaining bid by any team for any remaining free agent will be considered. The team with this winning bid will be awarded the free agent and all losing bids for that free agent will be cancelled. This process will continue until every remaining bid has been considered.
Bids shall be placed individually, or in groups, with conditional bids following the primary bid. The top bid is the primary bid in a bidding group. The bids underneath are conditional bids. If you lose the primary bid, the first conditional bid directly below will be considered next. If you lose the primary and the first conditional bid, then the second conditional bid will be considered, etc. The rest of your bidding groups will be processed in the same manner.
A maximum of one player can be won in each bidding group. Bids within a group may have different designated drop players. It's important to remember when placing multiple free agent bids that you cannot win two players if they both have the same drop player. You may not place different bid amount on the same player. In this case, only the highest dollar bid will be considered.
Dollar amounts do not determine preference of bids - only the order in which the bids are placed determine preference. Example: conditional bid #3 can be a higher dollar amount than the primary bid.
Teams may submit as many bids as they like. There are no limitations as to the amount of players may be acquired by any one team during the course of the weekly blind bidding process or during the course of the year, provided teams remain within the maximum number of 20 players allowed on each roster.
Teams will no longer have the ability to acquire or bid on free agents once their initial $1,000 free agent "dollars" have been spent. All bids must be in increments of dollars, with no cents. The minimum bid amount is $1.
Bids may only be accepted on each individual league pages, on the MyFantasyLeague.com website. No bids will be accepted by telephone, email, message boards or any via any other form. In the event that MyFantasyLeague.com website is not able to accept bids then no free agents will be awarded for that week. The blind bidding process will be available after the completion of Week 1 and end Week 17.
Bids will be allowed to be entered from kickoff of the first game of the week until Wednesday 10:00 PM EST. All bids will be processed and the rosters updated with the results of all successful bids every Wednesday at 10:01 PM EST, following the completion of the blind bidding process. This will be the ONLY bidding process for the week. First Come First Serve waivers will begin at 10:01 PM EST on Wednesday.
All team managers are strongly encouraged to place their bids as early in the week as possible.
Players cut during Week 10 and later may be removed from the free agent pool and may not be re-acquired by any team. This is done to minimize potential collusion.
The NCOFF and All Star Services & Technologies reserve the right to remove a dropped player from the free agent pool or reinstate that player back to its original team, if The NCOFF and All Star Services & Technologies determine that doing so is the interest of upholding the integrity of the contest, or that the dropped player would unfairly impact the outcome of The NCOFF, or to correct an error. In this rare instance, all participants will be notified and an explanation will be given.
In the event that there is a tie between bids, ties will be broken in a "worst-to-first" manner in the following order until tie is broken.:
- Overall Winning Percentage (Record)
- Total Points Scored
- Last Week's Point Total
- Virtual coin toss
The NCOFF League and Playoff Structure:
The 12-week regular season will run from NFL Week 1 through NFL Week 12. Over the course of the regular season, each of the 12 teams in each league will play in an “head to head” format resulting in Wins, Losses or Ties.
At the conclusion of Week 11, the 2 teams with the best won/loss record in each league will play in a league championship in week 12. Ties for best record will be determined by season total points scored. The winner of the week 12 league championship game will be crowned league champion. Each league champion will be awarded a $250* Regular Season prize, and each league champion will earn an automatic berth to The NCOFF Playoffs and a chance at $10,000* Grand Prize in Weeks 13, 14 and 15. There will also be 2 Wild Card teams added for every paid league. The Wild Card teams will be awarded to the non-league champion teams with the highest total points scored from NFL Week 1 through Week 12. Some leagues may have zero Wild Card teams while others may have 3 or more.
The League Champions and The Wild Card teams will earn a berth to The NCOFF Playoffs and a chance at $10,000* Grand Prize and other prize(s) listed below.
The NCOFF Playoffs
All aforementioned qualifying playoff teams will play in The NCOFF Playoffs which will run during NFL Weeks 13, 14 and 15.
Each playoff team will start The NCOFF Playoffs with their one-game point average from the regular season (NFL weeks 1-12). The NCOFF Playoffs will add each teams Regular Season Total Points average (NFL weeks 1-12 ) plus add each teams points for NFL Weeks 13, 14, and 15. Winners will be determined based on each team's total points scored during Weeks 13, 14, & 15 and added to their one-game point average from the regular season (NFL Weeks 1-12). The team with the most points will be crowned The National Champion Of Fantasy Football for 2010. The teams with the next highest points will win prizes as listed below.
If there is a tie between teams at the conclusion of Week 15, the following tiebreakers will be used in order from 1 to 4 to determine winners:
1. Total points during the regular season (NFL weeks 1-12)
2. Week 15 Point Total
3. Week 14 Point Total
4. Regular Season Overall Record If a tie is not broken after all 4 tie-breakers, then it will be declared a tie and any cash awards will be split 50/50 by both***** teams.
The NCOFF Prizes* (in US dollars): League Regular Season Prizes:
- Team with the best regular season record = $250*
The NCOFF Playoffs:
- The National Champion of Fantasy Football = $10,000*
- Second = $2,500*
- Third = $1,000*
- Fourth = $500*
*All prize money will be determined based on total number of leagues (above illustrations based on 25 leagues). All prizes will be pro-rated based on total paid leagues (number of paid leagues divided by 25) if there are less than 25 paid leagues.
***** If there is more than 2 teams that are tied, then all tied teams will split any winnings evenly and all tied teams will make The NCOFF play-offs.
